Becoming a driver
We need safe and considerate drivers to give lifts to our guests from their homes to the centre and also to drive on days out into London and to the seaside. Could that be you? If so, please fill in the form below and you will hear straight back from us.
Minibus Drivers Awareness Scheme' (MiDAS)
To become a driver for the Centre you will need to acquire the 'Minibus Drivers Awareness Scheme' (MiDAS) certificate which involves undertaking a day's training about the scheme and about managing clients in wheelchairs or who use walking frames. More information about driving a minibus can be found on the Directgov website.
DBS Check
All South Croydon Centre volunteers will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. There will be no cost associated with these checks for volunteers.
