Trusts & Grants

Funding from grant makers such as Trusts and Foundations allows our Centre to continue to improve on our service and ensure we can continue to provide a safe and homely environment for our visitors. Such support is particularly important to us now with more local charities are facing reduced funding.

At the South Croydon Day Centre for the Retired we aim to be able to provide proper service without having to charge high fees to ensure that the support and service we offer can reach as many people in need as possible, and, as a charity, we rely on support beyond Council funding to achieve this.

The generosity of Trusts and Foundations and other charities enables us to consistently improve our service to the local community in South Croydon. The grants we have received in the past have enabled us to install a proper kitchen and accessible toilet facilities for our visitors, and, most recently, a new floor to ensure health and safety. A number of Trusts have continued to support us and enabled us to continue with our work.

We are located in an old building and continually need funds to improve on the space we use and support us in providing transport to the visitors. We have plans to refurbish the centre to install double glazing , improve on access, renew the furniture, provide better transport and also improve on the lighting. We are looking for Trusts and Foundations that we can partner with to give our projects the support required and also to help ensure we can serve the elderly in the community in the long-term.

If you are aware of any Trust or Foundation (big or small) that might be willing to support our services then please do not hesitate to contact us.
